The karren

The karren are the simplest karst phenomena. They develop at the limestone surface as a result of irregular dissolving by weak carbonic acid, which comes from atmospheric precipitation enriched with carbon dioxide. The acids secreted from the root system of plants also considerably participate in creating of well karren.
