The Great Drienčany cave

The cave was formed by erosion and dissolving activity of underground water, which were falling in on the western slope of the Holý vrch hill and were springing in the Blh valley in the later Quaternary. Later on, the cave-bear, the Neolithic man and the Bronze Age man lived there. Its total lenth is 50.3 m now. This locality is important for the hibernating of bats` colonies. There were 11 bat species identified here.
